On 30 June this year. Wolności Square (green square near the fountain) in Opole will become the central place of the World Architecture Day celebrations. During this time, all lovers of culture and architecture will have the opportunity to admire numerous exhibitions, presentations and participate in interesting lectures, workshops and discussions. The event is organized by the Opole Regional Chamber of Architects of Poland.
The official opening of the World Architecture Day in Opole will take place on June 30th (Friday), at 10.00 a.m. in the conference room of the City Library at 4 Minorytów Street. Visitors will be welcomed by the organizers - representatives of the Opole Regional Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland, Association of Architects SARP Branch Opole and invited guests. Until late in the evening, those interested will take part in planned events and workshops, aimed also at the youngest. The project "ArchiTEKTURE - cutting, bending, painting" is a form of workshop based on creating spatial forms from cardboard. In addition, a performance of the pavilion construction performed by local architects and a tour of O Monastery is planned. Franciscans.
An interesting event will also be the unveiling of a commemorative information board about arch. Florians Jesionowski - the author of a valuable architectural object, which is the roofing of a bus stop at Wolności Square in Opole. In the afternoon, the subject of shaping contemporary architectural and urban space will be taken up by invited architects and experts.
Just like last year, the guests will be able to admire the light illumination of the Freedom Square and the Municipal Public Library. Admission to the event is free.
