How do you recognize vitamin C deficiency?

Deficiency of vitamin C, responsible for iron absorption, also leads to anaemia. But how do we deduce that we are eating too little of this vitamin? The basic symptoms of its deficiency are: weakness, muscle and joint pains, tendency to bruises, difficulties with wound healing or loss of appetite.
Vitamin C is a well-known supplement for colds. However, its primary task is to prevent them. Let's take care of the right amount of it, especially in winter, when vegetables and fruits don't taste as good as in summer. It is therefore worthwhile to use proven pharmacological preparations in the form of tablets, capsules or liquids.
